RiseCheck

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 October 2026

RiseCheck ("the app") is an alarm clock made by an independent developer based in Taiwan. This policy explains what information the app handles. In short: your alarms and wake-up history stay on your iPhone. The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, and Google collects some device information to show them (see Advertising).

Your alarms and wake-up history stay on your phone

Alarms, missions, wake-up history, streaks and settings are stored only on your device. The app has no account system, no servers that receive your data and no analytics of its own. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Camera

The camera is used only for the photo, barcode, squat and push-up missions. A reference photo you take is saved in the app's own storage on your phone; each morning's photo is compared with it on the phone using Apple's Vision framework and is not kept. For squats and push-ups, Vision counts your movements on the phone from the live camera view; no images are saved. No photo or video leaves your device.

Motion

Motion data (steps and shaking) is read on the phone only while a walking or shaking mission is on screen, to count your progress. It is not stored or sent anywhere.

Alarms

Alarms are scheduled with Apple's AlarmKit on your device. Nothing about your alarms is sent to us.

Advertising

The free version shows ads served by Google AdMob: a banner at the end of the alarm list, and a short video only when you choose to watch one to try the photo mission. RiseCheck only requests non-personalised ads and never asks to track you. Ads are never shown or loaded while an alarm is ringing, during a mission, or in the 10 minutes after a mission ends. To show and measure ads, Google may collect: approximate location (from your IP address), device identifiers, how you use the app and interact with ads, advertising data, and crash, performance and other diagnostic data, along with your device model and operating system. This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you. Users in the EEA and UK are asked for consent through Google's consent message. The photo-mission trial you get from a video is kept on your iPhone; nothing about it is sent to us. Your alarms, wake-up history and photos are never shared with advertisers. Learn more in How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. RiseCheck Pro removes ads.

Purchases

RiseCheck Pro subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive your payment details or your Apple Account information.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
