Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 October 2026
Hushday ("the app") is a headache diary made by an independent developer based in Taiwan. This policy explains what information the app handles. We have no account system and no servers that receive your data.
Your headache log
Headaches, times, intensity, where it hurts, symptoms, triggers, medicines, notes and settings are stored on your iPhone. If iCloud is on for your Apple Account, the log is also kept in your own iCloud (iCloud key-value storage) so your devices can share it. Apple stores that copy; we cannot read it. If you delete the app, the data on that iPhone is deleted with it.
Apple Health
If you allow it, Hushday reads last night's sleep from Apple Health and adds the minutes to the headache record. Health data stays on your iPhone: it is not written to Apple Health, not uploaded, not synced to iCloud, not used for advertising and never sold or shared. You can turn access off at any time in iPhone Settings.
Weather data and location
Weather data is off until you turn it on. When it is on, each time you log a headache and each time you open or return to the app, Hushday asks iOS for your approximate (city-level) location and sends it to Apple Weather (WeatherKit) to look up the current air pressure and the forecast for the next 10 days. Hushday uses this for the pressure saved with a headache, the pressure chart and the pressure alert. Your location is not stored by Hushday; only the air pressure numbers are saved with the headache record. Apple's handling of the request is described in Apple's privacy policy. You can turn weather data off in Hushday's settings, or turn off location access in iPhone Settings, at any time.
Reports and CSV
When you share a PDF report or a CSV file, the app hands the file to the share sheet. Where it goes (for example AirDrop, Mail, Messages or a printer) is your choice and is handled by those services, not by us.
Notifications
Reminders (such as "add details?" and the trial reminder) and pressure notes are scheduled on your device. Their content is not sent to us.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed by Apple (App Store). We do not receive your payment details.
No ads, no tracking
Hushday shows no ads, does not track you and has no analytics.
Not a medical device
Hushday records what you enter. It is not a medical device and does not replace a doctor.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
